Summer game theory workshop for Year 12 students!
We are pleased to invite Year 12 economics students to our summer “Economic Games Workshop” organised by Middlesex University Business School. This workshop will be supported by IFREE (International Foundation for Research in Experimental Economics) founded by Nobel prize winning economist Vernon L Smith.
The main purpose of the workshop is to introduce students to economic concepts through experiments in the classroom. Attendance will be free of charge and students will be given a participation certificate. The exercise will be of benefit to them as they will be studying economic concepts hands on. The workshop will take place on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th July 2016. On 5th July we plan to have both a morning (10am to 1pm) and an afternoon (2pm to 5pm) session and on 6th July a morning session (10am to 1pm).
These sessions are particularly aimed at Year 12 students studying economics but students from other related disciplines (e.g. maths) are also welcome. Due to limitations in space we will be accepting a limited number of students. Students will be selected based on their grades.
The workshop will be led by professors and lecturers within the Economics Department at Middlesex University. Our faculty has a reputation for research in Experimental and Behavioural Economics.
