Middlesex University Business School hosts the the Behavioural EConomics Group (BEC). We run experiments both in the lab and in the field. Our research topics include Cooperation, Altruism, Risk Aversion, Time Discounting, Markets, Bubbles, Beliefs Elicitation, Bank Runs, Social Networks and (Behavioral) Contracts. Members of BEC: have published in leading journals such us American Economic Review, Proceeding of the Royal Economic Society B, Nature Scientific Reports, Economic Journal, Games & Economic Behavior, PLoS One, Experimental Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization or Journal of Conflict Resolution.
Recently we have launched a new MSc: Behavioral Economics in Action. This is a master degree with strong emphasis on applications of experimental (economics) tools to real problems.
